October TBR 2018
I'm not usually one for any type of spooky or scary in books. In the past I've just not found it to be a genre of books that I've been completely interested in. This year though, I'm feeling overly ambitious and very festive so I'm going to tackle a load of books I've been wanting to read but have also been putting off. But this year I've decided to take part in spookathon so you'll have to wait until I post my seperate tbr for that to see what those are! For now here are the books I'll be reading when I'm not taking part in spookathon (which is 15th-21st October by the way if you're thinking of joining in!)
On to the books...
Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand - From what I've heard, this is a very eery, dark story so I feel as though it'll fit well with this months tbr. Plus, I've heard nothing but good things about Claire Legrand, so I'm hoping for the best. I still haven't got to Furyborn, but I guess I'm going to start with Sawkill since it's the spooky month.
Sadie by Courtney Summers - I've heard a lot of amazing things about this book (especially the audiobook) so I think I'll give it a go and possibly listen to it on audio.
What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera - I was lucky enough to get an e-arc of this so I'm going to try my best to get to it early this month before it's release.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - Re-read in anticipation of Kingdom of Ash which releases on the 23rd of this month. I want to read at least book 1-5 so everything is fresh in my memory. I was going to start with the Assassin's Blade but after reading a few chapters the other day I realised that it's pretty fresh in my mind, which is the same for Tower of Dawn. I may still read all of the books before reading the final, but then again I may only get through one of them and not be able to wait to pick up Kingdom of Ash.
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater - I'm totally going to keep putting this on every tbr I make until I actually end up picking it up and reading it. Anyway, I've heard it's atmospheric and has autumn vibes so I thought it'd be a perfect October read.
The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding - I was going to include this on my spookathon tbr but I decided to save it for the end of the month. So I'll be reading this on halloween!
That's it! Be sure to let me know what books you'll be reading this month in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
