Top 5 Summer Reads | 2017


Top 5 Summer Reads:

Summer is probably the only season that I tend to lean towards books that aren't particularly from the fantasy genre, so all of the books I've chosen are actually contemporary which is very strange for me because it is no where near my favourite genre.

So lets get into my top 5 recommendations when it comes to summer reads. As always I'll include my individual rating for each book and I would like to give a special mentions to 'By Your Side' by Kasie West and When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon before I start because they were very close to getting a spot in my top 5. But I enjoyed Letters to The Lost a little more so it just won out.

An original concept with beautiful writing and moving plot that you can't help being sucked into. - (Check out my Full Review)

4- To All The Boys I've Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han

Some of the cutest contemporaries I have ever read, plus I got really emotionally invested with what was happening and even though I am still heart-broken by some of the things that happen I can say that this is one of my favourite trilogy's of all time.

Always and Forever Lara Jean: 4.5/5 Stars​

3- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I would say with this one to avoid all the hype and try your best to go into it not knowing anything about it. You will enjoy it more that way. This is a geeky, original contemporary that is dreamy and hilarious.

2- The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

Amazingly realistic characters that are so funny. (Check out my full review)

1- My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

The perfect summer read, with characters that you will immediately fall for. But be warned this book isn't just fluff there are some deep plot turns and a very swoon-worthy romance.
